Montague owner Joe (@jawsjc7 on Instagram) spends his days camping and exploring the outdoors of his home country of Japan. Sometimes this takes him to remote mountain sites where he packs light and travels by bike or canoe.

Montague Paratrooper folding bike camping in Japan with tent

Often it’s a far more elaborate affair, hauling gear, food, and a few comforts of home in his jeep and setting up camp with friends and fellow outdoor enthusiasts. His Paratrooper always makes the journey with him, folding up to fit in his rig and providing the perfect transportation around campsites.

When you’re meeting up with a hungry group of fellow campers, everyone can bring a few necessities and build quite an elaborate outdoor kitchen. Joe is into camping, but not roughing it!

This campsite is at the base of Mount Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan and the 7th highest peak of an island in the world. With it’s picturesque snow cap for nearly 6 months of the year, this is not a bad view to have when you unzip your tent each morning.

You’ll see Joe’s Jeep CJ in most of his photos, but it looks like he has an old Bronco in the works as well! The beauty of a folding bike like the Paratrooper is that can fold to fit in any vehicle.

After meals like these, it’s great to have a bike handy for some recreation. Bringing along a whole prosciutto leg is taking camping to a new level, and we’re not complaining. Follow more of Joe’s adventures with his Paratrooper on Instagram!
