Beagle Bicycle Co. is back with another incredible build. Based out of Toronto, Canada, the Beagle Bicycle team acts as the Montague dealer for the area and consistently creates one-of-a-kind custom Montagues bikes. Unlike most folding bikes, all Montagues use industry-standard parts which allow bike shops to personalize any model to a rider’s needs or preferences. Today’s customization began with a classic hunter green Montague FIT frame. In order to create a true gravel grinding FIT, Beagle Bicycle skipped the typical slick road tires and instead fitted this bike with knobby 42mm wide WTB Resolutes. In order to fit such a wide tire in a road frame, they went with a slightly smaller wheel diameter, selecting 650b rims instead of 700c. The result is more clearance between the rim and the frame, and more space for those nice wide knobbies.
Additional unique touches include a 28-inch riser handlebar, a Box Three Prime 9 x-wide (11-50t) drivetrain, and a Brooks B17 saddle for comfort and a refined look. Even though this frame has the “classic” folding frame design, it still folds in seconds to easily stow away wherever this bike travels.
