Eurobike! It’s one of the most exciting weeks on the calendar each year for many in the bike industry and for bike lovers lucky enough to make their way to southern Germany to attend. As one of the largest bicycle trade shows in the world, Eurobike attracts companies, cycle press, and individuals from all over the world, and highlights the newest and most cutting edge developments in all things bike related.
Montague was there exhibiting our full size folding bikes, Eurobike award winning RackStand, and rumor has it… an exciting new model.
An overnight flight from the US gave us a beautiful sunrise over Switzerland just as we were landing.
The town of Friedrichshafen, Germany where Eurobike takes place is a fairly small town on the shore of Lake Constance, but they have a massive exhibition center!
The entryway to the show (above) leads to an open area with outdoor vendors, a beer garden, and dirt jumps and trials obstacles for riding demos. That area is surrounded by 12 enormous show halls where over 1300 exhibitors show off their newest products!

Crowds at the Montague both.

Interesting seating options at Eurobike.
A folding demo always draws a crowd!
Looking out on Lake Constance. On the other side is Switzerland.
It was a fantastic four days of exhibiting where we were able to meet with our distributors from all over the world, retailers from Europe, and international cycle press to show off our latest developments (not all of which are ready to be public here on the blog – be patient!). The final day is also open to the public so anyone can come in and get a close look at products ranging from our folding bikes to electric bikes, road bikes, components, apparel and biking accessories.
The day after the show on our drive back to the Zurich airport, we detoured through some more scenic parts of Switzerland. How do the cut those fields?
The Swiss alps are an incredible sight!
We even took a quick gondola ride to the top of a peak. The views from the summit were obscured by clouds, but it was snowing and there was already over a foot of snow on the ground!
Thanks to everyone who came out to Eurobike 2017 and stopped by the Montague booth. We’ll see you next year Germany!
